Welcome to our new OBOC website. We’re glad you’re here. Even though our look has changed, much of the same information is available on the website. Look around here for lots of answers and updates. And we will see you this summer!
“One Bread, One Cup” is a five-day liturgical leadership conference for high school youth and the adults who minister to them. Conferences include catechesis, liturgical and spiritual formation, and theological reflection. There are opportunities for personal prayer, liturgical prayer, charity and action in a community of peers.
At the conferences, youth and adults discover the Church’s treasures of Word, Sacrament and Mission and have opportunities for fellowship and fun (team building, outdoor recreation, variety show and dance). Participants come to appreciate the Benedictine balance of prayer, work and recreation.
“One Bread, One Cup” Internship Program The “One Bread, One Cup” Internship Program is a six-week internship for college-age students. Interns come from throughout the United States to be formed in Benedictine spirituality for ministry in the Church and taught by monks and faculty of Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. They also serve as staff, catechists and theological reflection group leaders for the “One Bread, One Cup” summer conferences.
Throughout the summer, interns have opportunities to be formed not only intellectually, but also in the areas of spiritual, human and pastoral formation. The internship provides college students a balance of theory and practice in today’s Roman Catholic Church.
The internship begins the first Friday of June and concludes in mid-July. Qualified applicants may be invited to an interview on the Saint Meinrad campus. Interviews are held in mid-February.
